Mekong Chapeau
Mekong Chapeau
METHOD: Knitting
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner
*US sizes 13/9mm & 15/10mm 16” circular needles
*Suggested yarns: Malabrigo Rasta / Baah Mammoth (Approximately 90-110 yards)
*Approximate measurements: 9.5” tall and 8.5” wide
NOTES:
*Hat features a split brim design. The brim of the hat is knitted flat and later joined in the round for the body.
*Stitch marker placement is crucial in this pattern. Please pay close attention to stitch marker placement throughout the pattern.
*For Baah Mammoth, I used exactly one skein for the beanie along with the 12 strands for the braids. For Malabrigo Rasta, I needed extra yardage to complete the braids. Although the two brands have the same yardage, the fibers will knit up differently.
*Video Tutorials are available for certain parts of the pattern.
